Since the beginning of Grameen’s activities, we have focused on ensuring access  to healthcare, telecommunications, education, and housing, along with providing  access to finance to borrowers. For a long time, Grameen has also been working  towards establishing a university. After years of working towards this vision, we  are thrilled to introduce Grameen University to you.  

While regular universities prepare students to seek jobs, Grameen University will  Prepare students to become job creators, with entrepreneurship at the heart of  their learning. 

At Grameen University, our mission is to enable students to utilise their full  potential, Students will learn about entrepreneurship, innovation, and how to develop solutions to real-world problems. This University will not just teach  theories; it will teach students how to solve real problems and turn their ideas  into action. 

Our founder, Professor Muhammad Yunus, has believed that poverty is not  created by the poor, but by the system around them. Grameen University’s effort  is to change the system by building human capital that is not only skilled, but also  socially responsible and action-oriented. 

We are not just building an institution. We are enabling a generation of young  people to create a world of Three Zeros- zero net carbon emission, zero wealth  concentration for ending poverty, and zero unemployment by unleashing  entrepreneurship in all.
