Ms. Tasmina Rahman is a practitioner of microfinance and social business who has served as the Managing Director of Grameen Trust (GT) since January 1, 2023. She also contributes her expertise as a Board member of several microfinance institutions and social business entities across Bangladesh, China, France, Italy, the USA, Yemen, Kosovo, and Congo.
 
Ms. Rahman has been with Grameen Trust since 1994, dedicating more than three decades to advancing the organization’s vision of zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, gaining extensive experience in the global expansion of the Grameen Bank Approach (GBA) and in the design of Nobin Program (Entrepreneurship Development program) that transforms unemployment into entrepreneurship.
 
Her leadership has contributed to the implementation of more than 155 Grameen Replication Programs in 44 countries, serving over 29 million poor members worldwide with microcredit services. Under her guidance, Grameen Trust implements entrepreneurship development program that has also provided financial support to the business of more than 48,000 new entrepreneurs as of August 2025. In addition to program leadership, Ms. Rahman has represented GT at international summits, workshops, and training programs, sharing insights on microfinance, financial inclusion, and social business innovation. She has also conducted feasibility studies, monitoring and evaluation missions for GT-supported initiatives across diverse regions, strengthening accountability and impact.
 
Her areas of expertise include microfinance and financial inclusion, social business and sustainable development, youth entrepreneurship, and the replication of innovative development models, with a strong commitment to education, training, and social impact initiatives.
